Q & A with Senior Helpers

Senior Helpers - Helping Families Through COVID19

HOW HAVE YOU SUPPORTED FRANCHISEES THROUGH THE CORONAVIRUS CRISIS?

We have been sending out daily COV1D19 bulletins along with a weekly Town Hall. Communication is critical during these unchartered times. We are the first national Home Care franchise to provide Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) to our franchisees.

WHAT HAVE SENIOR HELPERS FRANCHISEES DONE TO SUPPORT EMPLOYEES?

Communication is so important for keeping their caregivers and staff connected. Providing PPE to caregivers is imperative to keep both our clients and caregivers protected.

HOW DO YOU STAY POSITIVE THROUGH A CRISIS AND KEEP FRANCHISEES HOPEFUL?

Our business is in high demand as the elderly are the most vulnerable with this virus. We are very fortunate to have sustainability and even growth during this crisis. My leadership style is to keep positive and be very understanding to the needs of our franchisees, staff, and clients. The more positive our franchisees are, the better they can sustain their businesses. Senior Helpers will continue to be in demand through and even more so after-the crisis.

HOW HAVE YOU HELPED/IMPACTED THE LIVES OF YOUR CLIENTS DURING THIS TIME? ARE EXTRA PRECAUTIONS TAKEN?

We constantly check in with our clients to see how they are doing. We have

an outside company survey both our clients and statt to ensure that we maintain the highest quality at all times. As I have mentioned, we are providing PPE to help our clients feel safe and secure.

HAVE YOU SEEN AN INCREASE IN BUSINESS WITH SENIORS BEING AT HIGH RISK TO CORONAVIRUS? WHAT CHANGES AND CHALLENGES ARE YOUR FRANCHISEES FACING RIGHT NOW?

Yes. we are seeing an increase in demand for our services. Unfortunately, many businesses have been negatively impacted by this virus, and the result has been an abundance of caregiver applicants for us to add to our Senior Help ers family. Franchisees continue to protect the safety of their staff and clients with PPE and we have created new business processes to help navigate the work that's being done virtually.

HAS FRANCHISE DEVELOPMENT SLOWED OR INCREASED?

Just like during the financial crisis in 2008 and 2009, our franchise development has been very active. People who have been downsized or have lost jobs during a time of crisis look for businesses that are " recession adverse'' like Senior Helpers for a way to control their careers into the future. Being your own boss in a business that is mission driven and in high demand no matter what the economic climate is reassuring. In my opinion, you can't pick a better business to be in than Senior Helpers!
